Abang Cromwell Faces Uncertain Future With Vipers Sports Club
West Nile province star Cromwell Rwothomio Abang leads the list of Vipers Sports Club players facing uncertain futures with the club after he was not allocated a jersey number for the new season and not appearing on the squad list.
Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have fueled speculation that Abang Cromwell could be heading for the exit door after the club released a list of 37 players with their shirt numbers for the new season.
Cromwell and two others are missing from the list, meaning they have not been allocated shirt numbers by the club.
Last season, the former URA FC star was handed the No.17 jersey, but it has now been given to youngster Rodriguez Shamamba.
Another notable omission from the Venoms’ list is Karim Ndugwa who joined the club this year in January from BUL FC and has been doning shirt number 28 but it has been handed to new signing Grant Masiko.
Najib Yiga, a St. Mary’s Kitende graduate has also not made it on the Venoms list for the 2023-24 campaign. His shirt number 26 has been handed to Brazilian striker Rodriguez Giancarlo.
Meanwhile the Club also confirmed that skipper Milton Keynes has maintained his shirt number 29, new signings Patrick Mbowa will don No.18 while new Mauritania striker Mohammed Salem has been given shirt number 7.
