Mustafa Kizza Bids Farewell To KCCA FC
Kampala City Council Authority Football Club defender Mustafa Kizza has bid farewell to the club and its supporters ahead of the new campaign.
Kizza returned to KCCA FC for his second spell in december last year after signing a six months contract with the club on a free transfer following the termination of his employment contract by Portuguese side FC Arouca.
The expierenced left back played absolutely no part for the Kassasiro Boys last season due to injuries and his contract that expired last month has not been renewed.
He made the announcement via his various social media platforms on Friday afternoon.
“As I bid farewell (again!) to my boyhood club, I am also filled with gratitude for giving me the opportunity to play again,” Kizza said.
“It was a tough season. Injuries didn’t help either. There are somethings I think I wish we did better, but that’s life. I am always proud to represent the Cityzens and to do my best whenever given a chance.”
“Now I have to move on, but with gratitude in my heart. Thanks to all the fans for support during the good and bad times. I wish you the best of luck for the season and always,” he concluded.
The left-back has previously for played CF Montreal in the US MLS before joining FC Arouca in Portugal.
Ahead of the coming campaign, KCCA FC have already parted ways with John Revita, Benjamin Ochan, Allan Okello, Wasswa Geoffrey and Brian Majwega.
