KCCA FC Signs Partnership Deal With Kampala Queens FC
StarTimes Uganda Premier League entity Kampala City Council Authority Football Club have announced a partnership with FUFA Women Super League entity Kampala Queens Football Club.
The partnership will see KCCA FC take on Kampala Queens FC as its sole women football team while Kampala Queens equally takes on KCCA FC as its sole men’s team for all official engagements including FUFA, CAF and FIFA Competitions.
According to a statement on KCCA FC’s official website the partnership is for a period of three years effective 1st July 2023.
“KCCA Football Club and Kampala Queens Football Club have entered into partnership for a period of three years with effect from 1st July 2023 to 30th June 2026,” reads club statement.
“The partnership has KCCA FC agreeing to take on Kampala Queens FC as its sole women football team while Kampala Queens equally takes on KCCA FC as its sole men’s team for all official engagements including FUFA, CAF and FIFA Competitions.”
As part of the partnership, Kampala queens Kampala Queens FC will retain its Brand Identity however they will use MTN Omondi Stadium as its official home grounds.
The deal will also see the Kassasiro Boys provied technical and knowledge exchange to Kampala Queens FC’s technical team intermittently for the growth of the game of football in the country.
This development comes few days after CAF announced that all clubs featuring in CAF Club Competitions to have women football clubs.
KCCA FC will be symbolizing Uganda in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup after finishing second in the League last season While Kampala Queens will be seeking to play at the finals of 2023/24 CAF Women’s Champions League after winning the FUFA Women Super League title last season.
