
Kitara Fc Rally To Salvage A Point Against Mbarara City Fc: Big League

Kitara Fc scored two late goals to snatch a point against Mbarara City Fc in a 2-2 stalemate at Kigaya primary school play ground.
The Ankole Lions took an early lead through captain Jude Ssemugabi in the 9th minute capitalizing on Kamugisha Clinton back pass.
In the second stanza, Kitara Fc started with guns blazing in search for a leveler coming close through Clinton, Moses Sseruyidde and George Ssenkaba but the visitor’s defence stood firm not to concede.
Thirteen minutes to normal time, Ssemugabi completed his double stretching Mbarara City Fc’s lead to 2-0.
At the time it looked done and dusted for the first loss Kirara Fc at home, second half substitute John Kisakye pulled one back with five minutes to the final whistle.
Kisakye was introduced in the 80th minutes replacing striker Agondeze Edson.
In the second minute of added time, Sam Simbwa side was awarded a penalty after a foul on Kitara fc player in the box.
Kisakye again did not disappoint but to bury it home levelling matters to 2-2.
This was the second time Kirara Fc has dropped points at home after a 1-1 against Booma Fc. They remain undefeated at Kigaya primary school play ground this campaign.
The result meant Kitara Fc remain top of the table with 48 points after 25 points.
Mbarara City Fc drop 3rd with 45 points after NEC FC beat Northern Gateway Fc 2-1, thanks to Tony Kiberu and Farouk Ssekayi goals.
The Bugolobi based side moved 2rd with 47 points.
The two will return to action on Thursday 20th April on matchday 25, Kirara Fc travel to face Kyetume Fc at Nakisunga ssaza ground in Mukono.
