KCCA Held To A 1-1 Draw By Blacks Power At AkiBua Stadium
Blacks Power and Kampala City Council Authority Football Club played out to a 1-1 stalemate in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter at AkiBua Stadium in Lira City.
Denis Iguma cancelled out Robert Eseru’s opener as both sides settled up for a share of spoils.
The host started the better side and eventually got the opener through Robert Eseru who found the back of the net from Denis Otim’s cross just seven minutes from kickoff.
Eseru could have doubled the lead but his effort was well saved by KCCA FC custodian Derrick Ochan in the 18 minutes.
Before Denis Iguma leveled matters for the Kasassiro Boys after heading home Allan Okello’s cross for 1-1 in the 36 minutes.
The score was 1-1 at the interval.
After the restart both teams had opportunities, but neither could force a winner and eventually settled for share of spoils.
The draw leaves KCCA FC second on the table on 37 points, three behind SC Villa while Blacks Power remain second from bottom on 16 points after 20 games.
Blacks Power are back in action on Saturday 8th as they visit Vipers at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende while KCCA will host UPDF the following day at Lugogo in their next encounter.
