Stanbic uganda cup round of 16 action continues as two two 2nd division sides Calvary Fc and Kitara Fc clash at Midigo play ground in Yumbe on Sunday 19th of March.
Kitara Fc kicked off the journey this season by beating Buganda region League side Free Stars Fc from Mukono 3-0 in penalty shootouts after a goalless draw in normal time at the round of 64 before eliminating another region League entity Uganda Pentecostal University Fc 2-1 in Hoima City at the round of 32.
On other side Calvary Fc made it to this stage with a 1-0 score line in the two games against Jlos Fc and Bubombo United at the round of 64 and 32 respectively.
The two have sofar met this season though in the FUFA Big League where Kitara Fc won 3-0 at Kigaya primary school play ground, thanks to a Patrick Henry Kaddu brace abs one by Kyomuhendo Charles.
Coming to this encounter, thirteen points separate the two in the league as Kirara Fc are on top (43 points) while Calvary Fc 5th with 30 points.
The hosts should bank on home advantage to get a better result against an on fire Kitara Fc reason being they have won six straight ganes at their home base, kept four clean sheets scored 15 goals and let in only three in the process.
But Sam Simbwa’s side head to this fixture a team to beat and at their best. They have won the last three matches without conceding a goal but scored four.
Should the match end in a draw after ninety minutes, they will head straight to the penalty shootouts to get one team progressing to the last eight.
The will join KCCA FC, BUL FC, Vipers SC, Express Fc and Soltilo Brighters Fc in the quarter finals.
