Express Fc 4-0 Paidha Black Angels
Stanbic uganda cup record champions Express Fc put league struggles aside and demolished region League side Paidha Black Angels Fc 4-0 to cruise to the quarter finals.
The match was played at Express Fc home base Mutesa || stadium Wankulukuku on Wednesday 15th March.
A brace by Boban Zirintusa and one by Faisal Sekyanzi and Anwar Ntege were enough to cool pressure on coach James Odoch.
Sekyanzi needed nine opening minutes to put his side into a 1-0 lead. Boban Zirintusa had his double completed in the 35th and 41st minutes, hence the first stanza ending the red eagles in a 3-0 conformable lead.
One goal was seen in the entire second half coming eleven minutes to the final whistle by Anwar Ntege stretching James Odoch coached side lead to 4-0.
Express fc would have won the game with a more bigger margin but thanks to Paidha Black Angels Fc goalkeeper who made crutial saves not to allow more goals into his net.
Anwar Ntege, Marvin Oshaba, Ivan Mayanja and captain Allan Kayiwa would have added more goals but nothing went positive.
Express fc match straight to the quarter finals with hope of taking the total number of Uganda cup trophies to eleven.
Else where, defending champions 10-man BUL FC eliminated Onduparaka Fc 1-0 in the fixture played at Aba bet green light stadium in Arua.
Martin Aprem was the saviour on the day after he scored the only goal in the 80th minute.
Earlier in the first half 38 minutes played, Emmanuel Kalyowa was shown matching orders by the center referee hence BUL FC playing the rest of the minutes a man down.
It was Someone Masaba’s first match in charge of BUL FC as interim head coach since he took over from Alex Isabirye who crossed to Vipers SC.
Express Fc and BUL FC join Vipers SC and Soltilo Brighters Fc to the quarter finals.
