West Nile based FUFA Big League entity Adjumani Town Council advanced to the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter finals after beating Western Regional League side Bunyaruguru Untied 4-3 on penalties at Paridi Stadium on Sunday evening.
The round-of-16 encounter finished 0-0 after stoppage time before Adjumani TC knocked out Bunyaruguru United on penalties.
The Cocks converted four of their five spot-kicks with the Hippos missing two of their five penalty shootouts.
Victory saw Adjumani TC progress to the quarter finals of Stanbic Uganda Cup while Bunyaruguru United bowed out of the tournament.
To reach the Round of 16, Adjumani TC eliminated Simba FC in the round 64 and Elite Fc in the round 32 while Bunyaruguru United eliminated Kaaro Karunji and UPDF FC in the round 64 and 32 respectively.
Adjumani join Calvary FC, Vipers SC, Bright Stars, Express FC, BUL FC and KCCA FC who have already qualified for the Quarter-Finals of the show-piece.
