Kitara fc beat NEC FC to open a two points gap on top of the table.

Kitara Fc edged NEC FC 1-0 at Bugolobi coffee ground to open a two points gap on top of the table.

The game was played on Thursday 9th of March 2023.

Defender Dudu Ramadan scored the only goal late in the 85th minute from the penalty after NEC FC defender Brian Mato brought down Bwambale Lazaro in the box.

The was Kitara Fc’s second victory away from home this season, the first coming against Lugazi fc 3-0 in first round . The Hoima City side remain unbeaten in second round in five matches, winning two and drawing three.

The two clubs headed to this top of the table clash level at 37 points after 19 games.

The result takes Sam Simbwa’s side to 40 points after 20 games, two above second placed Police Fc (38 points) who settled for a 1-1 draw away to Kyetume Fc.

For NEC FC they suffered their first defeat at their home base Bugolobi coffee ground in ten games but second in second round where they have won two, lost one and drawn one .
