
Kasinde Bags Brace As Bright Stars Cruise Past 10-Man Kiyinda Boys To Reach Uganda Cup Quarter Finals
Soltilo Bright Stars made a comfortable 4-0 win over 10-man Kiyinda Boys Football Club in the Stanbic Uganda Round 16 played on Tuesday evening.
A dominant display from Bright Stars saw them book a place in the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter-finals following a victory over Buganda Regional League side Kiyinda Boys at Kavumba Recreation Ground.
Kasinde Ibrahim scored a magical brace while Emmanuel Loki and Nelson Senkatuka were all on target to send Kiyinda Boys Parking out of the tournament.
Emmanuel Loki handed the visitors an early lead through a brilliant volley off Kasinde’s delivery just a minute from kickoff.
Kasinde then found the back of the net in the 30th minute from Omony’s cross to hand Bright Stars a 2-0 half-time lead.
After the restart, Kasinde completed his own brace to make it 3-0 for Bright Stars.
In the 65th minute substitute Nelson Senkatuka sealed the victory after banging the foruth for a 4-0 win.
Kiyindi Boys hopes of reducing the deficit were later dented when they were reduced to a man down in the 87 minutes as Bright Stars held on to register a victory and progress to quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The hosts Kiyinda Boys will now shift their attention to Buganda Regional League when they welcome Kibogo United on Sunday 19th March at Ssaza Ground in Mityana while Bright Stars visit UPDF FC at Bombo Military Grounds the next day in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league action.
