
Busoga United Stun UPDF FC To Move Out Of Relegation Zone
Busoga United’s positive form continues as they moved out of relegation with a 1-0 win over Uganda Peoples Defense Force Football Club in the Startimes Uganda Premier League clash played at FUFA Technical Center on Friday evening.
Thomas Ochungo scored the match’s only goal to hand Busoga United a boost in their relegation struggle this campaign.
Ochungo’s goal came just two minutes to the stoppage time to hand the hosts their sixth win of the season while UPDF FC succumbed to their 9th defeat of the season.

Victory saw Busoga United jump out of relegation as they leapfrogged UPDF FC in the 12th place on 15 points after 17 games, three points above drope zone.
Meanwhile UPDF FC dropped in the 13th position on 12 points tied to Blacks Power who are in the second place from the bottom on 12 points after 17 matches.
Busoga United are back in action on 19th March as they visit URA FC at Mehta Stadium while UPDF FC host Bright Stars at Bombo Military playground the next day in their next encounter.

Elsewhere Maroons Fc maintained their fine form after defeating Wakiso Giants 2-1 at Kabaka Kyabagga stadium courtesy of an own goal from Ambrose Arinda and Nicholas Kigozi.
Arinda pulled one for the Purple Sharks but that was not enough as they were condemned to their 5th defeat this season.
Lastly at Kavuma Recreational Center, Bright Stars returned to their winning ways following a 3-1 win over strugglers Blacks Power thanks to a brace from Dennis Omony and a goal from Ssenyonjo.
Esenu scored a consolation goal for Blacks Power who suffered their 9th defeat of the season.
