Arua Hill Duo, Four Other Ugandan Based Players Named In South Sudan Squad For AFCON Qualifiers
South Sudan’ National team head coach Stefano Cusin has summoned a total of 39 players on the provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
The Bright Stars will play a double header against Congo Brazzaville as they seek to return to their winning ways following two defeats in their previous group stage games.
There are six players currently based in Uganda with Arua Hill Sports Club defenders Toha Rashid, Atendele Geriga leading the list.
The other four include Calvary FC star Norman Lumumba, Elly Dhata Joseph (Express FC), Wani Ivan Adebo, and Peter Emmanuel Loki (Bright Stars).
The team also comprised of several locally based players and these include; Khemis Daniel (Atlabara FC), Ramadan John (Malakia FC), Goodwill Yugusut (Kator FC), Felix Abishai (Amarat United), Benson (Hilal Wau), Kennedy Juma (Mission FC), Sarfino Nickson (El-Merreikh FC), Bul James (Malakia FC), Bangazi Bakassoro (Kator FC), Mandella Malish (Atlabara FC), Joseph Loro (Munuki FC), Francis Okello (Amarat United SC), Mabior Mabior (Super Stars Bor) and Wani Shadrack (Malekia FC).
Cusin’s charges will challenge Brazzaville on 23rd March at Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat before hosting them in Dar-es-Salaam Tanzania on 27th March.
