Goalkeeper Salim Jamal and defender Kenneth Semakula have been named in Uganda Cranes starting lineup against Tanzania by head coach Milutin Sredojevic Micho.
The group F match is to be played at Suez canal stadium Ismailia in Egypt at 5:00pm East African Time.
Jamal who turns out for Richards Bay Fc in South Africa top flight was last called on the Uganda national team in 2021 against Malawi.
He starts ahead of Alionzo Nafian and Charles Lukwago.
At right full back, Kenneth Semakula is handed a start. The Uganda Cranes U-20 plays for Uganda premier league record champions SC Villa.
Semakula beat competition from the URA FC player in the names of James Begisa penza for the starting place.
Aziz Kayondo who left Vipers SC for Spanish second division side CD Leganes starts at left full back.
At the heart of defence, former Vipers captain Halid Lwaliwa now at KF Bregalnica Stip in Northern Macedonia pairs up with Livingston Mulondo current at Vipers SC.
In midfield, Vipers SC assistant captain Suraji Sentamu in the defensive midfield role along side Khalid Aucho who turns out for Tanzania giants Young Africans Fc.
Farouk Miya starts in number ten. He is currently playing in Turkey supa Liga at Rizespor Fc.
Target man is Fahad Bayo who starts as number nine. Bayo is currently trading at MFK Vystov in Cech Republic.
On the right frank, starts the team captain Emmanuel Okwi who is at Al Zawraa Sports Club.
Joseph Ochaya who is currently playing in Egypt at Al Mokawbon Al Arab Fc starts at left wing.
On the bench waiting as substitutes, are two goalkeepers in Alionzi Nafian and Charles Lukwago.
