
Ssenoga On Target As KCCA FC Stun UPDF FC In Clash That Sees Referee Ahmed Kakembo Dish Out Two RED CARDS
Kampala City Council Authority Football Club recorded their fourth win of the season as they defeated Uganda Peoples Defense Force Football Club 1-0 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Bombo Military Play grounds on Wednesday evenig.
Muhammed Ssenoga scored his first goal and the only goal of the encounter to hand the Kassasiro Boys the much needed win in a clash that saw referee Ahmed Kakembo award two red cards for the two teams.
Denis Iguma (KCCA FC ) and Ibrahim Magandaazi (UPDF FC) were both sent off in the 55 and 80 minutes respectively as UPDF FC suffer their 4th defeat this campaign.
The visitors started the better side and managed to break the deadlock through Muhammed Ssenoga. The former Tooro United winger opened his goal scoring account for KCCA FC with a cool finish just 11 minutes from kickoff.
Kakonde Tshisungu should have doubled the lead for the Kassasiro Boys in the 26 minutes but his header off Atube Rogers’ delivery went wide.
Rogers Mato had a chance to extend the lead for the visitors but his effort went inches wide in the 41 minutes as KCCA FC settled for a 1-0 lead in the first stanza.
After the break, KCCA FC were reduced to a man down when Denis Iguma recieved his marching orders from referee Ahmed Kakembo for retaliation.
Before UPDF’s Ibrahim Magandaazi equally received marching orders for a dangerous foul on Usama Arafati just 10 minutes to stoppage time as KCCA FC stood firm to claim a 1-0 win.
The victory elavated KCCA FC to third place of the log with 12 points from 6 games and are back in action against URA FC at Philip Omondi Stadium on Saturday 19th November.
Meanwhile UPDF FC are dwelling in the fourth place from the bottom of the log with 5 points from 7 matches and their next game is on Friday 18th November away to Vipers SC.
