FUFA Suspends Arua Hill Head Coach And Three Others For Misoconduct
The Federation Of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has sanctioned Arua Hill Sports Club head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, his assistant Yusuf Ssenyonjo, Goalkeeper Richard Anyama and defender Bright Vuni for misconduct during their defeat against Gaddafi Football Club.
The Leopards’ quaternary Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, Yusuf Ssenyonjo, Anyama Richard and Bright Vuni have all been suspended by FUFA Competitions Displinary Panel (FCDP) after been found guilty of breaching Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions rules in regard to misconduct towards a match official during their encounter against Gaddafi on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 at Kakindu Municipal Stadium.
WHAT HAPPENED? Seven days ago, Gaddafi defeated Arua Hill SC 2-0 handing the Kongolo Boys their fourth consecutive defeat, it was match characterised with lots of ugly scenes and poor officiation that happened in the 59 minutes when referee Siraji Mpyangu allowed Gaddafi FC to take a free kick from a different place from where the foul was initially committed hence leading to a goal as Alex Kitata opened the lead for the hosts from Godfrey Lwesibawa’s forcing Bright Vuni and Anyama Richard to violently confront and attack the ref Siraji Mpyangu.
This also forced the duo of head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi and his assistant Yusuf Ssenyonjo to enter the pitch as they tried to restore peace and cool their guns.
WHAT FUFA SAID? “Richard Anyama, Bright Joseph, Charles Livingstone Mbabazi & Yusuf Ssenyonjo have been sanctioned by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel for breaching Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions rules in regard to misconduct towards a match official.In Uganda Premier League match 59 Gaddafi FC Vs Arua Hill SC played on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 at Kakindu stadium Jinja in the 59th minute after Gaddafi Fc scored a goal.”
The CDP RULINGS:
- SUSPENDS the players Bright Joseph and Richard Anyama for TWO competition matches effective immediately as of 30th November 2022.
- SUSPENDS the coaches Charles Livingstone Mbabazi and Yusuf Ssenyonjo for ONE Competition match effective immediately as of 30th November 2022.
- The coaches Charles Mbabazi Livingstone and Yusuf Ssenyonjo are each further sanctioned with a Cash fine of UGX 500,000 (Uganda Shillings Five Hundred Thousand) to be paid into the FUFA ACCOUNT and bring proof of payment of the same to the committee.
- The above fine is to be paid by the completion of the one match suspension and failure to pay shall lead to automatic suspension for both coaches until the fine is paid in full.
- The club manangement is directed to ensure implementantion of the above sanctions or they shall suffer the consequences of fielding ineligible persons.
- Should you fail to heed to the sanctions above, the CDP shall be constrained to take stronger disciplinary measures against all parties involved.
WHAT THIS MEANS? This means the duo of defender Bright Vuni and Custodian Anyama Richard who have been handed a suspension of two games will miss out when Arua Hill SC challenge Express FC on Friday 2nd December at Wankulukuku stadium and host BUL FC at Barifa Stadium on Tuesday 6 December.
Meanwhile the duo of coaches Charles Livingston Mbabazi and Yusuf Ssemyonjo will miss out the encounter against Express fc and pay a fine of Five Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings (500000UGX).
