
BUL FC Return To Winning Ways Ways With 2-0 Win Over Rivals Busoga United In Jinja Derby
BUL Football Club returned to their winning ways with a 2-0 victory over rivals Busoga United in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League played at FUFA Technical Center on Friday afternoon.
Karim Ndungwa and Ibrahim Mugulusi scored second half goals to hand BUL FC bragging rights in Jinja derby as they condemned Busoga United to their 7th defeat this campaign.
After a goalless first half Karim Ndungwa opened the lead for BUL FC in the 65th minute when he brilliantly headed home Ronal Otti’s delivery.
The Eastern Giants pressed for more goals and eventually got the second through Ibrahim Mugulusi’s brilliant smash off Martin Aprem’s cross for 2-0 lead in the 71 minutes.
It was a limp display from Busoga United, with the visitors having few shots on target as held on to settle for a 2-0 win.
The result means BUL FC remain in the second place of the log but move upto 17 points just one point adrift leaders Wakiso Giants while Busoga United remain rooted in the second place from the bottom of the log with 3 points from 9 matches.
BUL FC are back in action on Tuesday 29th November as they visit Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavuma Recreational Center while Busoga United host the same opponent (Bright Stars) on Monday 5th December at Kakindu Municipal Stadium.
