
Yet Another Stalemate For Gaddafi And Onduparaka FC
Gaddafi Modern Football Club and Onduparaka FC shared spoils in a 0-0 draw during their StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played Kakindu Municipal stadium on Wednesday evening.
The hosts looked to get off to a start and came close breaking the deadlock through Siriba Yunus but his effort from Sserunkuma Simon’s went wide in the 10 minutes.
Two minutes later Odongo Johnson missed an opportunity to put the hosts ahead after firing out an indirect free kick that was rewarded to Soldier Boys when Onduparaka’s custodian Mathias Muwanga handled a back pass.
Nonetheless, the match reached the interval with the teams still locked at 0-0.
After the restart Abonga Dominic launched an solo effort into the box of the hosts but failed to beat goalkeeper Mutakubwa Joel as his effort was deflected for a corner kick.
The Soldier Byoys looked to offer differnt challenge to the Caterpillars after introducing Byamukama John for Sserunkuma Simon but struggled to penetrate past the defence.
Onduparaka contained Gadafi FC in the closing stages and ultimately, the clash had to settle in a 0-0 stalemate on the day.
Both teams were left wondering what they must do get a first league win this season.
The draw left Gaddafi Modern in the third place from the bottom of the log with a point from two matches just above Onduparaka who are in the second place from the bottom of the log with equally one point but after three games.
