THE BIG MATCH PREVIEW: Maroons Hosts Wakiso Giants In SUPL MD3
Newcomers Maroons Football Club will be hoping to continue with their fine form when they host Wakiso Giants FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter on Tuesday 11/10/2022.
The mounth-watering clash is scheduled to take place tomorrow at Luzira Maximum Prisons stadium. kick-off is at 16h00 local time.
The Mbili Mbili have the opportunity to potentially break into the top of the summit when they entertain the Purple Sharks. It has been a flowery period for the hosts who have enjoyed a positive start at the top-tier. They are currently in the 2nd place of the log with 4 points from 2 games.
Maroons’ last outing saw them make a trip to Kavuma Recreational Center to face Bright Stars on Tuesday and returned home with a point after sharing spoils in a goalless draw.
As for their opponents, Wakiso Giants they are yet to register a win this season and head into this particular fixture on a back of a 3-2 defeat to KCCA FC in their first game of the season.
The Purple Sharks find themselves down in the 12th place in the league table with no point from a single game and 4 points adrift from their 2nd-placed opponent.

“From a tactical perspective, our next opponents @WakisoGiantsFC have a few interesting football players and a few interesting schemes exhibited on the previous game. We are prepared to counter all that come Tuesday in Luzira.” Assistant coach Senfuma Muhammed.
“Maroons have started well collecting four points and scoring five goals an indication they are not easy and needs respect. But we know the task is to go there, defend well and score goals to win the game and we are optimistic,” Ibrahim Kasule.

Maroons are boosted by the return of midfielders Samson Kigozi and Brian Nkuubi who both missed the previous games due to malaria and national duty respectively.
As for Wakiso Giants, they welcome the duo of Joshua Lubwama and Samson Kiirya who missed the first game while away on duty with the Sand Cranes.
Meanwhile Tom Masiko and Titus Ssematimba have been rued out of this clash due to personal issues and a knock respectively.
