
Amayo, Dada On Target As West Nile Province Beat Kampala Province 2-0 To Progress To The FUFA Drum Semi Finals
West Nile Province booked their place in the Semi Finals of the 2022 FUFA Drum tournament following a 2-0 win over Kampala Province in the second leg of the quarter finals played at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds on Sunday afternoon.
The white Rhinos qualified on a 6-0 aggregate after a 6-0 home win over Kampala Province in the first round of the quarter finals played at Ababet Green Light stadium in Arua City last month.
Following a goalless first half, Ahmed Amayo put the visitors ahead after brilliantly heading home Gadaffi Gadinho’s delivery for a 1-0 lead in the 52 minutes.
Before substitute Ibrahim Dada doubled the lead for the White Rhinos in the 77 minutes as he slotted home Muhammad Shabans cross.
Shaban came close to adding the third in the 85th minute but his bicycle kick effort went wide over the cross bar as West Nile Province settled for win over Kampala Province.
Vicrory means West Nile Province progress to the semi-finals of the 2022/23 FUFA Drum while Kampala Province bowed out of the show-piece.
The White Rhinos now join Tooro Province, Lango Province and Bugand Province as other teams that have qualified to the Semi Finals.
