
BREAKING : MASAZA CUP FIXTURES POSTPONED
The Airtel Sponsored 2022 Masaza Cup Fixtures for the upcoming weekend of Sunday 25th September 2022 have been postponed to a later date due to the outbreak of regional pandemic,Ebola.
Earlier on this month,the Ministry of Health in Uganda announced the outbreak of Ebola and districts like Mityana ,Mubende and Kampala had some major cases.
This was followed by a directive from The Parliament of Uganda through the Deputy Speaker,Hon Thomas Tayeebwa during a plenary session on Tuesday to Area representatives and natives to remain vigilant about Ebola,Shading light on Public gatherings and Transportation.
It is on this advice that the Masaza Cup Organizing Committee headed by Sulaiman Sejjengo passed resolution to postpone upcoming fixtures for this weekend since Ebola stricken districts are partial of some Masaza Football Teams name Mubende for Buweekula and Mityana for Ssingo.
“We have decided to postpone the fixtures because Football is for Unity,Ebola can spread through public gatherings,so we don’t want to risk the life of the King’s subjects because the agenda is about promoting Unity”,says Sulaiman Sejjengo.
The 2022 edition had hit the reverse fixtures of all the eight teams in the Quater-Final Draws.

BULEMEEZI 1-0 BUWEEKULA
GGOMBA 1-2 BUSIRO
KYAGGWE 0-1 SSINGO
BUDDU 1-0 MAWOKOTA.
