
Sadat Anaku: Ugandan Teenage Striker Set To Join Scottish Premiership side Dundee United FC.
Ugandan teenage and Kampala City Council Authority Football Club striker Sadat Anaku Happy aka Ada is on the brink of joining Scottish Premiership side Dundee United FC.
Scotland based publication Daily Record reported that the club is trying to strike a deal for Ugandan striker Sadat Anaku as Jack Ross looks to bolster his frontline after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Anaku has been on trial with United for the last few weeks and has impressed head coach Jack Ross in a number of trial games against English Premier League sides.
He featured in three back-to-back games and was on the score sheet against Leicester City.
“Dundee United are trying to strike a deal for Ugandan striker Sadat Anaku as Jack Ross looks to bolster his frontline after a disappointing start to the campaign,” reads part of a statement on Daily Record.
“He has been training with Ross’s first-team this week and has impressed the Dundee United boss. United are set to open talks with the player and any move would be subject to a work permit being obtained for the player.”
The youngster from Terego is a product of KCCA FC Academy graduate who previously played in the FUFA Junior League before joining the Kasassiro Boys in 2016 from Mengo Cubs and was promoted to the KCCA FC senior team in 2019.
Last season the 21-year-old bagged 8 goals to help KCCA FC finish second in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table standings with 56 points from 30 games.
The Tangerines have had a poor start the 2022/23 campaign and are currently sitting 3rd from the bottom of the log with a single point after registering one draw and two defeats in 3 matches.
