Mvara Boys FC Part Ways With Goalkeeper Watimon Florence
WestNile Regional League entity Mvara Boys Football Club have officially parted ways with Kyaggwe Ssaza team goalkeeper Watimon Florence ahead of the coming 2022/23 season.
The 21-year-old’s departure was confirmed by his club that took to its Twitter account on Thursday to announce a very unsurprising move.
Watimon was shown the exit door a day before the club confirmed the departure of Benon Candia who left the club for fellow WestNile Regional League entity Ondramachaku Central Football Club and the signing of Amabe Godwin from Terrazzo and Tiles FC.
“We say thank you to one of the best goal keepers in the regional league after completing his move to Lugazi fc on undisclosed fees,” Reads Club statement
The club confirmed that he has joined newly promoted StarTimes FUFA Big League entity Lugazi FC for undisclosed fee.
Watimon was part of Mvara Boys squad that eliminated Bul Fc in the 2020 Stanbic Uganda Cup (Round of 32).
The shot-stopper has previously played for Lugazi Municipal and Lugazi Friends Soccer Academy.
Mvara Boys FC have already confirmed the signing of Amabe Godwin from Terrazzo and Tiles FC and Wawelo Ismail from relegated Alpha Raising Stars FC.
Last season the Manya Boys finished 6th in the WestNile Regional League (Nyagak Zone) table standings with 32 points from 22 games having registered 9 wins, 5 draws and 8 defeats.
