FUFA DRUM: Dada Ibrahim Bags A Brace As Five-Star White Rhinos Begin Campaign With Victory Over Karamoja Province
WestNile Province began their 2022 FUFA Drum campaign on an impressive note after demolishing Karamoja Province 5-0 at Ababet GreenLight Stadium in Arua.
First-half goals from Joseph Bright Vuni, Gadafi Wahab and Ibrahim Dada plus a late second-half goal from Fred Amaku handed Dudu Bosco’s guns the much needed win over the Elephants.
Vuni put the hosts ahead in the 5th minute of kick-off as he headed home Gadafi Wahab’s corner kick cross before Wahab doubled the lead for WestNile Province through a penalty kick after Rashid Okocha was fouled by Eriaku Thomas in the 9th minute of kick-off.
Ibrahim Dada then made it 3-0 after heading home Rashid Okocha’s delivery in the 28 minutes.
Five minutes later Dada completed his own brace with a brilliant tap off Rashid Kawawa’s delivery as WestNile Province took a 4-0 lead in the first stanza.
With no much to talk about in the second-half, substitute Fred Amaku put the icing on the cake as he tapped home Geriga Atendele’s cross in the 90+4 minutes of the additional time as WestNile Province settled for a 5-0 win over Karamoja Province.
Both teams are back in action on Sunday 14/08/2022 as Karamoja Province host WestNile Province in the return match at Naitakwe Sports Complex in Moroto district with the aggregate winner qualifying to the next round of the campaign.
