
DONE DEAL: Vipers SC Confirm Signing Of Uganda Cranes Star.
As earlier reported by this website, Vipers Sports Club have officially confirmed the signing of Uganda Cranes star Abdu Lumala.
The 25-year-old joins the Venoms as a free agent since terminating his contract at Egyptian side Pyramids.
He’s signed a three-year employment contract that will keep him at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende until 2025, the club have confirmed on Friday.
“Vipers Sports Club has completed the signing of speed-star Abdu Lumala, with the player penning down a three-year contract,” reads club statement.
Speaking about this Abdu Lumala said: ““I would like to thank the Club President (Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa) and the General Manager (Steven Mulindwa) for making the deal possible.”
“I cannot wait to get started, help my teammates and myself get better. Also, I cannot wait to meet my teammates, the coaches to get things started.”
“My target is to help my team reach the CAF Champions League group stages, the league and all the competitions we are involved in,” he concluded.
Lumala has played for Mjallby AIF (2015), Kalmer FF (2016-2019), Varbergs BoIS (2017) Helsingborgs IF (2017) , IFK Vernamo (2018), Syrianska FC (2019) and Pyramids (2019).
He turns into membership the sixth signing after the arrivals of Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Omadjondo Osomba and Ashraf Mandela.
Vipers SC will symbolize Uganda in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League after being crowned champions of the 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
