
Former Arua Hill SC Defender Joins Gaddafi Modern FC
Word reaching our desk indicates that former Arua Hill Sports Club defender Dan Birikwalira has joined Gaddafi Modern FC for the upcoming season.
The left-back joins the Jinja based entity as a free agent following the expiry of his employment contract with Kyetume FC.
This website understands that Birikwalira has put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract that will keep him at Gaddafi Barracks until 2024.
The most decorated player in the Ugandan Football is best remembered for helping Arua Hill SC and Kyetume FC earn promotions to the top-tier in 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons respectively and also won the FUFA Big League title with the Leopards.
He also won the SUPL and Stanbic Uganda Cup title with Vipers, the Masaza Cup tournament with Mawokotta and was the captain as Buganda Province won their maiden FUFA Drum championship.
Dan joins Mathias Muwanga as they other new signing at Gaddafi Modern FC. The club recently annouced the appointment of Wasswa Bbosa as their next head coach along with George Lutalo, Ayub Balyejusa and Sam Kawalya.
