“The FUFA Drum in its third edition will also have the Women’s version,” Magogo Launches Women Inter Region Tournament
The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has today officially launched the FUFA Women Inter Region tournament.
This development was confirmed by FUFA President, Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim during the launch of The third edition of the FUFA Drum held at FUFA house in Mengo on Wednesday morning.
Speaking during the launch Magogo said: “The FUFA Drum in its third edition will also have the Women’s version. “
“This year, we shall make a shorter version and this will be played according to the 8 FUFA Regions converging in one venue. But in future we shall have the Women competing in their respective provinces of region.”
The first edition of the inaugural Women Inter Region tournament will be played on the basis of the 8 FUFA Regions.
The 8 Regions have been divided into two groups A and B, Group A comprises of Western, Buganda, Northern and Eastern.
Meanwhile Group B includes WestNile, Kampala, North East and Kitara.
All games will be played at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru in a group stages format
The Federation also stated that dates and fixtures will be communicated later.
