WestNile Regional League: Arua Patrick Bags Hat-trick As Paidha Black Angels Hit Mvara Boys For Six
Arua Patrick scored a hat-trick as Paidha Black Angels thrashed Mvara Boys Football Club during the WestNile Regional League Matchday19 encounter played at Bar Okoro stadium on Tuesday evening.
Opakworth Benjamin bagged a brace while Aweko Victor was also on target for the Blacks who secured their 13th win of the season.
Aweko Victor started the rout with an opener just 3 minutes from kickoff before Arua Patrick took center stage to double the lead for Paidha Black Angels inside 15 minutes.
Moments later Opakworth Benjamin then added the third as Paidha Black Angels took a commanding lead in the first-half.
After the restart, Arua Patrick added his second and the fourth goal for Paidha Black Angels in the 57 minutes before Benjamin completed his own brace and the fifth goal for the hosts in the 64 minutes.
Four minutes later Arua Patrick put the game to bed after completing his hat-trck and the sixth goal as Paidha Black Angels held on the remaining minutes to beat Mvara Boys FC 6-1.
Victory means Paidha Black Angels remain in the 2nd place of the Nyagak Zone log standings but move up to 42 points from 18 games while Mvara Boys FC are in the 5th place from the bottom of the log just above the relegation zone with 18 points from 19 matches.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday 14 May as Paidha Black Angels host Tiger Stars FC at Bar Okoro stadium while Mvara Boys FC challenge Packwach Young Stars at Arua Core PTC.
Tiger Stars FC 0-0 Nebbi Central FC:
Elsewhere Nyagak Zone table toppers Nebbi Central FC and Tiger Stars FC played to a goalless draw at Jaiko Primary School play Grounds.
The draw means Nebbi Central remain at the top of the Nyagak Zone table standings with 43 points from 18 games while relegation threatened Tigers Stars are in the 2nd place from the bottom of the log with 14 points from 19 matches.
Nebbi Central will next host Packwach Super Eagles at Luo Stadium while Tiger Stars visit Paidha Black Angels in their next encounter at Bar Okoro stadium.
