
Nebbi Central To Take On Adjumani Town Council In WestNile Regional League Play-off Final
Nebbi Central Football Club will challenge Adjumani Town Council FHL Football Club in the WestNile Regional League promotion play-off final to decide the team from West Nile Region that will will qualify to the upcoming FUFA Big League season.
The mouth-watering encounter is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 28 May at Ababet GreenLight Stadium in Arua City. Kickoff is 15hr00.
The winner between Nebbi Central and Adjumani Town Council will gain automatic promotion to the 2022/23 FUFA Big League tournament.
Nebbi Central made it to the promotional playoff after topping the Nyagak Zone with 50 points from 22 games.
Meanwhile Adjumani Town Council topped Nile Zone with 39 points from 18 games.
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) recently annouced that only Eight slots are available for Regional League teams to qualify in the 2022/23 FUFA Big League season.
North Eastern Regional League gaints and Kyoga Group table toppers Soroti City FC (former Light SS) became the first team to earn sporting promotions to the upcoming FUFA Big League.
This follows Soroti’s 1-0 win over Bisina Group table toppers Basere FC thanks to Isaac Odeke’s extra time winner following goalles draw in the stoppage time.
They will be joined by the winners from the seven other regions which includes the WestNile Region, North East Region, Northern Region, Kampala Region, Kitara Region, Buganda Region and Western Region.
