
BUL Thrash Booma FC 5-1 To Win Stanbic Uganda Cup Semi-Final First Leg
Uganda Premier League entity BUL Football Club crushed Kitara Regional League side 5-1 in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup played at Masindi Municipal Stadium on Tuesday evening.
A magical brace from Peter Oketch and goals from Richard Wandyaka, Ibrahim Kazindula, and Karim Ndugwa earned the Eastern Gaints the much needed win as they take the lead ahead of the return match.
Meanwhile Matuwa Lenard scored a consolation goal for the hosts who will have to work hard in the second leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-final if they are to progress to final of the tournament.
BUL started the better side and were put ahead through Simon Peter Oketch for a 1-0 lead just 5 minutes from kickoff.
Three minutes later Richard Wandyaka doubled the lead for the visitors and it was 3-0 when Oketch completed his own brace and the third for BUL FC in 12 minutes of play.
Matuwa Lenard pulled one back for Booma FC for a 3-1 in the 21 minutes before Ibrahim Kazindula added the fourth as BUL FC took a 4-1 lead in the first stanza.
After the break, Karim Ndugwa put the game to bed when he converted from a spot kick after Reagan Kalyowa was brought down in the forbidden area as BUL FC held on in the remaining minutes beat Booma FC 5-1.
