USSSA LAST 8 WRAP: Defending Champions Kitende Hit Four Past Mukono Kings, Host Mvara SS Ousted By Kibuli SS
A comprehensive wrap of all the collated encounters, results, scores and match updates from the Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) quarter-finals played on Wednesday 27/04/2022 at Ababet GreenLight Stadium.
The quarter-finals saw St Mary’s Kitende, Kibuli SS, Buddo SS and St Andrew Kagwa Gombe progressed to Semi-finals Of the 2022 National Post Primary School Soccer tournament organised by USSSA following the withdrawal of Coca-Cola.
St Mary’s Kitende 4-0 Mukono Kings High:
St Mary’s Kitende are on course to defend their tittles as they eased into the USSSA Semi-finals following a 4-0 victory over Mukono Kings High.
Oloyo Habit scored a magical brace while Elvis Ngonde and Torach Rogers were all on target for Edward Golola’s charges as they booked a place into the last four while Mukono Kings High bowed out of the tournament.
Kitende will now face Kibuli SS in the Semi-finals Of 2022 Uganda Secondary School Sports Association tournament.
Kibuli SS knocked out host school Mvara SS following a 3-1 victory at 11am thanks to first-half goals from skipper Faizal Wabyona and Dominic Ayella plus a second-half goal from Allan Owachigiu aka Kanyakole.
Jericho Michael scored a consolation goal for Mvara SS from a spot kick as they bowed out of the national show-piece.
Buddo SS 1-0 Kawempe Muslim SS:
In the Afternoon, Buddo Senior Secondary School secured a 1-0 win over Kawempe Muslim Secondary School courtesy of a lone goal from Arua Hill SC striker and skipper Innocent Media.
The result means Buddo SS progressed to Semi-finals and will now face St Andrew Kagwa Gombe who booked a place in last four after defeating Jinja SS 1-0 in the last8 encounter played at 4:00pm thanks to the only goal scored by Oscar Mawa aka Senke.
All the fours schools will symbolize the nation in the upcoming East Africa Secondary Schools tournament that is set to be hosted by Tanzania.
