
Wolusimbi’s Brace Helps Maroons Beat Luweero United, Moved Back To Second Place of The Log
Maroons Football Club got their campaign back on track after crushing Luweero United 3-1 in the StarTimes FUFA Big League encounter played at Luzira Prison Grounds on Sunday evening.
Amaku Fred opened the demage in the first-half before Solomon Walusimbi rounded up the score with his magical brace in the the second-half.
Nsubuga Brain scored a consolation goal for Luweero United who succumbed to their 7th defeat of the season.
The hosts started the better side and eventually broke the deadlock in the 37th minute through Amaku Fred.
The score was 1-0 in favor of Maroons Football Club at the interval.

Two minutes from the break Solomon Walusimbi doubled the lead for Maroons FC with fine finish for a 2-0 lead.
10 minute later Solomon Walusimbi completed his own brace and the third for Maroons FC. Before Nsubuga Brain scored a consolation goal for Luweero United as they were beaten 3-1 at the final whistle.
Victory means Maroons FC leapfrogged Kyetume FC in the 2nd place of the log with 29 points from 16 matches while Luweero United dropped to the relegation zone and are rooted in the 3rd place of from the bottom of the log with 18 points from 16 matches.
