
Vuni On Target As Arua Hill Stun Bright Stars To Move To The 4Th Place Of The Log
Arua Hill Sports Club returned to their winning ways after defeating Bright Stars FC 1-0 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Barifa Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Bright Vuni bagged the only goal of the clash to hand Arua Hill SC their 10th win of the season.
The Kongolo Boys enjoyed the majority of the possession through the first half and should have gone ahead through Gadafi Wahab’s free kick but his effort was well punched by Bright Stars’ custodian Simon Tamale in the 13th minute.
Samuel Ssekamate missed a chance to put the hosts ahead after his shot was stopped by defender Derrick Ngoobi in the 26th minute.
Bright Stars’ best chance in the first-half came through Marvin Youngman’s brilliant shot that was well saved by custodian Richard Anyama.
Rashi Kawawa should have scored for the Leopards but his effort was well punched for a corner kick by Simon Tamale.

Before Bright Vuni broke the deadlock for the Kongolo Boys from the resultant corner-kick at the stroke of the break as Arua Hill SC took a 1-0 lead in the first half.
The second-half had limited chances with substitute Innocent Maduka failing to double the lead for the Kongolo Boys as his shot went wide just 5 minutes to the stoppage time as Arua Hill SC held on to beat Bright Stars 1-0
Victory temporarily lifts Arua Hill Sports Club to the 4th place of the log with 36 Points from 21 games.
Meanwhile Bright Stars FC are rooted in the 4th place from the bottom of the log with 19 points from 21 matches.
