Uganda Cup:FUFA sets date for SC Villa and Super Eagles Encounter.
The Uganda Cup tie between SC Villa and Super Eagles has been rescheduled by The FUFA Competitions Department.
It has now been revealed by the Competitions Department that the game will he played on Monday, March 07 at the same venue.
The round of 64 game was initially slated to take place on the 20th of February at Pece Stadium but SC Villa players and technical staff were involved in an accident on their way to Gulu as their bus got a flat tyre and went off road leaving many injured.
Winner between Super Eagles and SC Villa will face Express FC at the round of 32 in Wankulukuku, at a yet to be confirmed date.
SC Villa official Daniel Bakaki has tweeted that the Jogoos have recovered and ready to play
“The boys have recovered from the trauma of the accident and are looking forward to the Cup game. We thank God for protecting SC Villa players and staff from the accident.”
Meanwhile, Police FC, Bright Stars, Onduparaka, Vipers SC, BUL FC, Wakiso Giants, UPDF FC, Mbarara City are the Uganda Premier League sides that have already qualified for the round of 16.
Big league teams that have qualified include; Ndejje University, Maroons FC, Kataka FC and Regional and DFA teams include; Iganga Young, Mable Heroes, Booma FC and Tipsa FC
