
Gaddafi 1-3 UPDF FC: Katende, Ambrose And Donato End UPDF’s Winless Run
Uganda Peoples Defense Force Football Club (UPDF FC) registered their first StarTimes Uganda Premier League win since December 5 2021, after beating Gaddafi FC 3-1 at Gaddafi Arena on Tuesday afternoon.

UPDF took the lead after eleven minutes of kickoff when Ezekiel Katende curled a brilliant free-kick past Gaddafi FC custodian Magada Abdul for a 1-0 lead.
Five minutes later Seif Bate should have leveled matters for Gaddafi FC but his effort from inside the box hit the woodwork.
Gadafi wasted another brilliant chance to equalize when Alex Kitata’s header from Serwadda’s delivery hit the woodwork in the 30th minute.

Six minutes from the break, Kigozi Ambrose restored the lead after find the back of the net following a delivery from Julius Kisambira for a 2-1 lead.
Okello Donato put the game to bed with a low strike off Kigozi Ambrose’s cross as UPDF FC held on for a 3-1 win.
Victory means UPDFC moved to 9th place of the log with 27 points leveled to Gaddafi FC who are in the 8th place of the log after 23 games.
Gaddafi FC are back in action on Wednesday 6th/04/2022 away to Arua Hill Sports Club at Barifa Stadium in Arua while UPDF FC host KCCA FC on Tuesday 5th/04/2022 at Bombo Military Barracks Stadium in their next encounter.
