
Ali, Clinton On Target As Booma Knock Tipsha Out Of Stanbic Uganda Cup
Masindi based entity Booma Football Club advanced to the next round of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after beating Koboko based side Tipsha Football Club 2-0 at Masindi Municipal Stadium on Saturday afternoon
Ashraf Ali ‘Kante’ and skipper Clinton Asiime were all on target for Booma FC as they knocked Tipsha FC out of the tournament.
The hosts started the better side and could have gone ahead but Asiime Clinton’s header went over the cross bar just 9 minutes from kickoff.
Ali broke the deadlock for Booma FC after tapping home Kambale Aldrine’s delivery from the right flank for a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute.
The score was 1-0 in favor of Booma Football Club at interval.
After the break Asiime Clinton doubled the lead for the hosts after tapping in from a rebound for a 2-0 at the final whistle.
The result means Booma FC progressed to Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter finals while Tipsha FC bowed out of the show-piece.
Vipers SC 3-0 Kataka FC (St Mary’s stadium)

Elsewhere Vipers Sports Club humiliated Kataka Football Club 3-0 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round 16 encounter played at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday evening.
Yunus Sentamu, Allan Kayiwa and Disan Ggaliwango all scored for the hosts as they advanced to the 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter finals.
Meanwhile Kataka Football Club bowed out of the tournamentm
