Westnile Regional League out fit Vurra football club have pulled out the Westnile Regional League competition.
Adjumani based Vurra Football Club has officially pulled out of the Westnile Regional League due to financial constraints.
In an exclusive interview Dribbler sports, had with a senior sports journalist from Madi sub region Andrew Rovince, he cited limited finance resources for the decision to pull out of Uganda’s third tier league.
The decision to pull out of the Westnile Regional League was because there is no money to run the club for the remainder of the season,there is no sponsor to fund the club.
Meanwhile, fixtures for the rest of the clubs that were due to play Vurra shall be scrapped off the schedule.
Vurra football club’s pulling out implies that they have been automatically relegated and the other clubs shall be relegated by the end of the season.
As the final bend of the Westnile Regional League comes by, clubs are gearing for maximum points in a bid to ensure promotion to the FUFA Big League where only two teams on top of the log from each zone shall make the cut to the play offs to qualify for the Big League with only one club to represent westnile region the champions as the rest are desperately fighting to avoid the drop zone.
