Maroons FC ComeBack To Stun Calvary FC
Maroons Football Club came from a goal down to beat Calvary Football Club 2-1 in the StarTimes FUFA Big League encounter played at Ababet GreenLight Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
The Horizone Stars took the lead in the first half but Maroons hit back with second half goals from Kiibi William and Walusimbi Solomon to move up to second on the log standings.
Kilama Dickson broke the deadlock for the hosts after finding the back of the net in the 26 minutes for a 1-0 lead.
Maroons FC trailed 1-0 in the first half of the encounter.
After the break Kiibi William leveled matters for the prisoners before Walusimbi Solomon scored the winner to hand Maroons their 5th win of the season.
The Result means Maroons FC moved to the 2nd place of the log with 19 points after 11 games while Calvary FC dropped to the 6th place of the log with 16 points after 11 games.
