
KCCA 3-1 Onduparaka: Caterpillars’ Omondi Jinx Continues As They Were Thrash By The Kasassiro Boys.
WestNile based StarTimes Uganda Premier League entity Onduparaka FC returned to Philip Omondi Stadium with a hope that they could end their away Jinx against Kampala City Council Authority Football Club but in the end they were thrashed 3-1 by the Kasassiro Boys on Saturday afternoon
Morley Bwyekwaso’s charges have added more woes to the Caterpillars as they returned to their winning ways in style after beating Onduparaka FC 3-1 at Phillip Omondi Stadium.
A first half goal from Herbert Achai and second half goals from Usama Arafat and Hassan Jurua handed the Kasassiro Boys their 11th win of the season. While Baden Mujahid scored a consolation goal for the Caterpillars who were condemned to their 7th defeat of the season.
In the opening 7 minutes, the hosts started the game with an attack from Usama Arafat but his effort was deflected wide for a corner kick
Mugume Ashraf should have put the Kasassiro Boys ahead but his effort was well saved by Onduparaka FC custodian Micheal Kagiri.
Baden Mujahid missed a chance to put the visitors ahead as his shot went to the side of the net following a delivery from Muhammad Shaban in the 18 minutes.
Herbert Achai broke the deadlock for KCCA FC after brilliantly curling into the top corner from a free-kick for a 1-0 lead in the 35 minutes.

It was 1-0 in favor of Kampala City Council Authority Football Club at the interval.
Five minutes from the break, Onduparaka FC came close to leveling matters when Muhammad Shaban’s brilliant acrobatic hit the woodwork.
Moments later Usama Arafat doubled the lead for the Kasassiro Boys when he slotted home from close quarters for a 2-0 lead in the 59 minutes.
Matata Gabriel came close to pulling one back for the Caterpillars but his effort was well saved by KCCA FC custodian Benjamin Ochan.
Seven Minutes to the stoppage time Baden Mujahid pulled one back with a cracker for a 2-1 lead.
Hassan Jurua put the game to bed after adding the third for KCCA FC with a wonderful strike to settle for a 3-1 win.
In the wake of the win, KCCA FC remain in the second place of the log with 39 points from 18 games. whilst Onduparaka FC are dwelling in the 12th place of the log with 17 points from 18 games.
KCCA FC are back in action on Tuesday 1st March 2022 as they visit UPDF FC at Bombo Military Barracks Stadium while Onduparaka FC face Police FC at Phillip Omondi Stadium the next day.
