
Karim Ndugwa Bags A Brace As BUL FC Send Rivals Busoga United Packing From SUC
BUL FC saw off rivals Busoga United Fc comfortably with a 2-0 victory in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round 32 at Kakindu Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Karim Ndugwa scored as a magical brace in the first as BUL FC claimed bragging rights in the Jinja derby to progress to the last 16 of the tournament.
BUL FC got the opener through Karim Nddugwa in the 23 minutes as he brilliantly headed home Richard Ayiko’s delivery.
Ndugwa then completed his own and the second goal for BUL FC after converting from a penalty kick to settle for a 2-0 lead in the first stanza.
After the Isack Wagoina came close to pulling a goal back for Busoga United but his effort from a free-kick went just over the cross bar.
Busoga United pressed hard in search of goals but BUL FC custodian Saidi Keni stood tall in between his sticks as BUL held on for a 2-0 win.
The result saw BUL FC advanced to last 16 of the 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup while Busoga United bowed out of the tournament.
