
Calvery FC Forward Set To Join Swedish Second Division Side Syrianska FC
Calvery Football Club forward Malingumu Julius is set to join Swedish Second Division side Syrianska Football Club.
The former Onduparaka FC Forward is believed to have earned an invitation from the Suryoye and will be traveling to Sweden to complete his medicals ahead of the imminent deal.
This development was confirmed on Friday afternoon by his parent club Calvary Football Club via the club’s official social media sites.
“We would like to wish Julius Malingu success in his travel to Sweden for medical tests with Swedish professional side Syrianska FC,” reads club statement.
Malingumu joined the Horizon Stars from West Nile based SUPL Onduparaka football club in 2020 and played an integral part in helping the club survive relegations from FUFA Big League last season.
The 25-year old previously played for UPDF FC, Kampala Junior Team and most recently Onduparaka FC.
Syrianska FC christened as the Suryoye are campaigning in Supperttan Division 2 (Ostra Gotaland) in Sweden. The club is based in Södertälje in Stockholm County and was founded by Syriac-Aramean immigrants in 1977 as Suryoyo Sportklubb, or Suryoyo SK
