Newly Kansai Plascon sponsored Arua Hill SC ,West Nile based Uganda premier league entity did not embrass their main spornsorers on the opening day in the new Jersey at home with an empathic victory against police FC at Barifa stadium in Arua.
First half goals from Teneeger Rashid Kawawa and debutant Stephen Kabuye struck ensured a clean win for the Kongolo boys (Leopards) in their new Kansai Plascon branded jersey.
The deadlock was broken in the 24th minute with a nice volley from forward Rashid Kawawa aka (Olu) in a close range after the police goal keeper Tom Ikara miss calculated the ball.
On the hour mark, new January signing Stephen Kabuye headed home Geriga Atendele’s cut back following an enterprising run to ensure a 2-0 win at half time.
With the massive win against Police FC ,Arua Hill moved to 4th place on the log with 28 points after 16 points while Police FC are 10th with 16 points in 16 matches.
Arua Hill will travel away to Vipers at the St Mary’s stadium Kitende on Saturday 12th while Police FC will host UPDF in the Derby of forces at the MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium Lugogo on Thursday 10th February.
