ARUA HILL 2-2 BUL FC: KONGOLO BOYS & BUL FC SHARE SPOILS IN ARUA
Arua Hill Sports Club and BUL Football Club shared spoils after playing to an engaging 2-2 draw in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League clash at Barifa Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The game started on a high note and it was the visitors who broke the deadlock through Karim Nddugwa as he tapped home Martin Aprem’s delivery just 16 minutes from kickoff.
Moments later BUL FC should have doubled the lead but Omari Mukobe’s free kick was well saved by Arua Hill’s custodian Kibowa.
Ssekamate made it 1-1 for the Kongolo Boys after brilliantly striking from a free kick in the 27 minutes.
Gadafi Wahab then doubled the lead for Arua Hill Sports Club as he tapped home Kawawa Rashid’s cross at the stroke of the first half.
It was 2-1 in favor of Arua Hill Sports Club at the interval.
After the break Steven Kabuye should have added the third but missed with a low strike off Olu’s cross.
The 76th minute saw Kongolo Boys nearly bagging their third goal from Ssekamate’s fierce strike but his effort was well punched for a corner kick by BUL FC custodian Saidi Keni.
3 minutes to the stoppage time BUL FC were awarded a penalty after Karim Nddugwa was brought down by Leopards’ skipper Toha Rashid. Simon Peter Oketch stepped up and scored the resultant penalty to settle for a 2-2 draw.
The draw means BUL FC remained in the 4th place of the log with 30 points after 18 games just one point above Arua Hill SC who are are in the 6th position.
Arua Hill SC are back in action on Saturday 26th Feb 2022 away to Tooro United at Buhinga Stadium. BUL FC meanwhile will host URA FC at Kyabazinga Stadium on Wednesday 2 March 2022 in their next league encounter.
