
WestNile RL Side Tipsha FC Shock Arua Hill SC In SUC Round 64
West Nile Regional League side Tipsha Football Club defeated Uganda Premier League entity Arua Hill Sports Club 6-5 on penalties (2-2 draw in normal time) in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round 64 clash played on Wednesday afternoon at Nyarilo Play Ground in Koboko.
Not many can claim to have predicted this, but Tipsha FC showed true grit and determination to come from behind to settle for a 2-2 draw in the normal time and eventually knocked out Arua Hill SC on penalties shoot-outs.
The Leopards were the better team in the early exchanges and had the ball in the back of the net with 24 minutes on the clock from a penalty kick.
The score was 1-0 in favor of Arua Hill Sports Club in the first half courtesy of a lone goal from Gadafi Wahab.
After the break debutant Jacob Kamwesiga who won the penalty for Arua Hill in first-half opened his account on his senior debut to double the lead for the Kongolo Boys.
In the 74th minute the men from Arua seemed to have fallen asleep as Peter Japheth Mawa pulled one back for the third tier side Tipsha FC through a penalty kick for a 2-1.
Moments later Tipsha found their equalising goal this time through a wonderful strike from Sabit Ali for a 2-2 draw in the 77 minutes
With both teams tied at the final whistle, the match had to be decided on penalties, with Tipsha FC defeating Arua Hill SC 6-5 to progress to the 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup Round 32
