Stanbic Uganda Cup Wrap: Booma Prove Too Strong For Nyamityobora
Masindi based Booma Football Club secured their place in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 after a comfortable 4-1 win over FUFA Big League entity Nyamityobora Football Club on Tuesday afternoon at Masindi Stadium.
Asiimwe Clinton bagged a hat-trick while skipper Isingoma Chris added the fourth to ensure the Masindi based entity qualify to the next round of the campaign.
Nyamityobora pulled one back but that was not enough for them as they bow out of the tournament following a 4-1 defeat.
Elsewhere Gaddafi Football Club advanced to the round of 32 after beating Heroes FC 5-3 on penalties on Tuesday afternoon at Akibua Memorial stadium in Lira.
Meanwhile Rushekere Growers defeated Kataka FC 1-0 thanks to the only goal of the encounter from Rocky Ayebale to book a place in the round 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup and the game between Bundimasoli and BUL FC was not played as hosts Bundimasoli failed to show up for the clash.
